No. ParkOù is an independent project built on the cities' public open data (Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0). It is not run or endorsed by any government body.

Why does the app need my location?
Only to center the map on you and show parking rules for the streets around you. Your location never leaves your device — there's no account, no server, and no tracking.

Why does it need the camera?
To read parking signs when you use "Scan Sign." The photo is processed entirely on your phone (Apple's on-device Vision framework) and is never uploaded anywhere.

What if the app shows the wrong rule for a street?
Always trust the physical sign over the app — signs can change, be temporary (snow removal, moving permits, film shoots), or not yet be reflected in the city's published data. If you spot a mistake, email us below with the street name and we'll take a look.
